Hi all, it's been some time since my last post, but I am still alive and continuing the blog as best I can. :)

Just as a heads up that I received an email from GoDaddy letting me know that they are going through a hosting migration and there may be some interruptions in service during that time. This blog is not located on GoDaddy of course, but the images on this blog are, so if you have any troubles viewing or downloading images over the next three days approximately, that is mostly likely the reason. Sorry for any inconvenience it may cause, if it does.

Back in business again. Once again sorry for the long delay since last post and this one. Life has a way of throwing things into your lap all at once, but you just have to deal with it, cause, well....it's life. :) On top of that I ran out of images in my reserve and had to go snap some more, so here I am back at it with another fifty plus images in the reserve ready to post up for you guys and gals. Just not all at once. :) Thanks again for your continued support and comments about these shots, I appreciate it all.

Here's a nice little mesh net, both with DOF and without. I thought both looks were cool, so I gave you a choice. A ball of thin rope made for a nice pattern close-up in the other image.

Yes I know it has been ages since the last post, sorry about that, things have been crazy, crazy around here. Multiple projects overlaping one another isn't helping either. :) So I managed to finish earlier than my usual 3am end time tonight and decided to play catch up and post some more shots. I may be slower nowadays with the posts, but I will keep them coming. :)

I was out and about yesterday looking for my DTV converter box and found out after getting home and hooking it up, that I apparently only have three station signals coming through my window right now, vs. the twelve that I get with my analog antenna. It wouldn't be as bad if two of them weren't crap. I can live without a weather channel, I just open the door and I know what the weather is. Hmmmmmm....me thinks I won't be using this box until Feb. 2009, with the hopes that all the other stations make the conversion. Anywho, I took some shots of the holographic seal on the DTV coupon cards.

This mid week post is a different look at a camera lens. I thought it would be interesting to look at it instead of through it. This is a Canon EFS 18-55mm lens set to f/22 to really show the shutter blades. The other pic is of a microphone mesh. The weave portrays a metal net being cast outwards.

It's been a little while since the last post, sorry about that. I've been called upon for some music video work, so I've been busy with the "meeting" thing. Good stuff though, it means my landlord will be happy. A happy landlord = a happy David :D

So on with the show...I found some copper pellets stashed away in my closet along with a set of leather work gloves that kind of take on a wheat field look, or at least a smashed crop circle. My closet holds many wonders, I found things I never even knew I owned in there. Still haven't found Narnia, but did come across a spider which chronicles adventures. ;)

Anyway, the human surface is one of the most amazing creations ever. It does soooo much and yet is so fragile. It also has a cool pattern if you look close enough. Here is a shot of the back of a hand and a finger. No humans were harmed in the photographing of these images, but my arm did fall asleep from the odd angle I had to position myself in to get the shot. :)

When looking for items to shoot, I could pretty much close my eyes and grab whatever is within arms reach. There is usually a cool image lurking around. In this case I grabbed an old cell phone that I was unable to sell on Ebay. Come to find out after I posted the item, I noticed that everyone in the world was selling theirs also. Seems I wasn't the only one that thought it was a piece of junk. Anywho, here is a cell phone and the SIM card from it. Weird to think that all of the information sat on those tiny little metal prongs. How does it know? I'm still in amasement of how sound came from a plastic disc and no I'm not talking about a CD. Showing my age now. :\

This was taken at night near a Hawaiian volcano during a lava flow. You can see the mountain edge glowing from it.

No, I'm just joking. These are two fingers (yes they are mine) with a flashlight behind them. Fun to do and eerie all at the same time. :) You probably liked the volcano description better, huh? Well the other shot is a rock....we can say it's from a volcano if you like. ;)

I try not to post the same image twice, but I loved how this one turned out. The lighting change makes for a different use in each image. One has a nice gradient from dark to light and the other shows more detail overall. Who knew a Mini Mag flashlight could look sooooo cool even in macro view. I like the snake skin feel it gives too. :)

Time is a very important part of our lives. Every moment of our lives is bound by it. Time to wake up, time to go, time to work, time for bed, tea time. I could list tons more, but we truly don't appreciate time until it's gone, so TAKE the time to smile and say hi to people, laugh with friends and family, to hold that door for the next person and especially take the time to say thank you to people. There, I've done my PSA for the month. :)

So I kept thinking, what could I put on my iPod Touch screen to make the pixels all light up differently? Why MacTex of course. :) The image I used was the micro fiber texture that I had just posted not too long ago. So here is the iPod screen.

Behold Excalibur! I got this from the lady on Lake ave. ;) Turn it sideways and it looks like some interpretation of a bullet and the sound barrier being broken. You might have to squint to see it. If you haven't guessed, it's a push pin. Enjoy.

Here is a shot of some micro fiber cloth and a really close shot of some LED's in a flashlight. I use this light sometimes as my source light for macro shots. It's fairly bright and gives a nice blue tone if I don't white balance the shot.

I wish I still had this object to show you a full shot of it, but it had made it's way into the trash during a quick cleanup. Believe it or not this was one of those gift card envelopes. It had some nice ridges and had a nice reflective coating. You'll have to take my word for it.

Ever wonder what the gold pins on a USB cable look like? This shot is kind of limited in what it could be used for, but I'm sure you'll think of something. (holding hands to head and mentally projecting to the masses) Think outside the box, think outside the box, think outside the box. :)
